Our Circularity

Thinking differently requires doing differently. At Mhodzi, we envision a circular business model, aligned with our values and our purpose to reduce textile industry environmental footprint.

All pieces are designed from the outset so that all textile materials applied already exist, meaning there is no need to incorporate virgin raw materials. Similarly, the porcelain details come from recycled porcelain.

The textiles are surplus from factories in Northern Portugal, and the recycled porcelain is supplied by a small Portuguese company.

We constantly strive to choose materials that cause the least possible environmental impact, from the various components that make up the piece to its packaging and transportation.

We believe that the most sustainable approach is to take good care of Mhodzi pieces, treating them with the care that a piece of art deserves, to increase their longevity. However, everything has an end, and in that case, we continue to honor the power that the piece provided.

Thus, at the end of the life of the Mhodzi piece, we welcome it back for the possibility of repariring it, giving it a second life, or as a last resort, proper disposal.

If your Mhodzi piece is at this stage, all you have to do is send us an email to info@mhodzi.com and you will receive all the instructions to start this process and contribute for a more sustainable future.

In our vision, everything we create should be part of Nature rule(and Lavoisier!): nothing is lost, everything is transformed!

Be Mhodzi.
